Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept health insurance?

Some insurance is accepted. Please call for details.

What if I've been injured in a car accident?
In New York State, if you have suffered a personal injury in a motor vehicle accident, Article 51 of the Insurance Law (the No-Fault statute) requires the auto insurance carrier to pay for treatments. You will need to fill out some additional forms.

Pennsylvania uses something called "choice no fault" rules, so it depends on whether you opted in when you purchased your insurance.

Does Medicare cover acupuncture?
Medicare does not currently provide coverage for acupuncture. Since 1993 U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) has been working to enact The Federal Acupuncture Coverage Act, HR 818, which would add coverage for acupuncture services to Medicare and the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program. Letters, calls and e-mails to your representatives in Congress urging them to co-sponsor the Federal Acupuncture Coverage Act are extremely effective. You can find their website at www.house.gov.
